All about Form-66
What is eForm 66?
The form for submission of the Compliance Certificate with the ROC is form 66.
- The Companies Act, of 1956 provided that companies which did not require to appoint a whole-time company secretary and had a share capital of more than Rs.10 lakh were required to file an annual compliance certificate, i.e. form-66 with the Registrar of Companies (ROC).
- A compliance certificate as per the format provided in the Companies (ComplianceCertificate) Rules, 2001 prepared and signed by a whole-time practicing company secretary must be uploaded mandatorily with form-66. The compliance certificate shows whether the company has complied with the provisions of the Companies Act, of 1956.
Due Date of Form 66
- The due date for filing the compliance certificate for form-66 with the ROC is within 30 days from the date of the AGM.
