How to become a Chartered Accountant?
Any person who has completed 12th grade graduated, or post-graduation can opt to pursue CA. The first step is to take up the foundation after 12 the clearance of which the next step is to take up CA intermediate for 8 months after which at least one of the two groups of exams should be cleared. The next step is to take up an ICITSS( Integrated Training on Information Technology and Soft Skills) and then a 3-year articles program. The remaining group of intermediate exams must be cleared and then the final exam has to be attempted either after article training or in the last 6 months of it. After clearing the final examination, you can be designated as a ‘Chartered Accountant’ and as a member of the ICAI. More about ICAI The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is the main head and professional accounting body in India. It is owned by the Government of India under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). It was first established under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 on 1st July 1949. The body head designates candidates who undergo 36 months of training, pass all the exams, and meet the rules and regulations of the act as ‘Chartered Accountants.
